Students for Peace(SFSU)

by mAtt (wacked_ [at] hotmail.com)
SFSU Students for Peace has second official meeting.
1:30am 9-26-01
A few hours ago in the basement of the Cesar Chavez Student Center at San Francisco State an anti-war, anti-discrimination, civil liberty defense meeting ended. The meeting was the second official meeting of the organization that has formed in response to the reactionary war supportive position being taken by the US government and corporate media. The organization has quickly formed several sub-committees, an extensive communication network, and several actions. Some of the students at SFSU participated in the nation wide series of campus rallies against the war effort last Thursday at noon. Later that night the first, very hopeful, meeting went underway. This saturday Students for Peace of SFSU, consisiting of both students and faculty will be represented at the rally in Dolores Park and later at the intercampus organizational meeting in Berkeley. Anyone who would like to join us meet at Dolores Park this saturday, 9-29 at 11:00am. SFSU students and faculty in particular look for the Students for Peace banners on the corner of Dolores and 18th by the tennis courts before 11:00am. SFSU students and faculty can stay up to date on meetings and events of the Students for Peace organization by joining the email listserve.
