Hijackers identities in question

by away
most if not all the names of the hijackers the FBI has made public were probably stolen identities
writing this from europe

i searched this site but did not see anything about the item i am investigating right now -- today's (9/21) International Herald Tribune has an article, buried among all the items about bin Laden and articles with details about the (suspected) hijackers, titled "Some Hijackers may have Stolen the Identities of Other People".

Quote from the article: " Gaafar Allagany, chief of the Saudi Embassy's information office in Washington, said that the Saudis are convinced that MOST, IF NOT ALL, of the suspected hijackers named last week by the fbi had USED STOLEN IDENTITIES."

It seems obvious that there is a lot more work that should be done before war of any kind is declared. The popular opinion that I hear expressed in the European media is that the US should not act by itself or "lead a crusade" against terrorism but should make sure it works in concert with other countries of the world.

The US media seems bent on stirring up fast retaliation, "because that is what the American people want".

On a personal note, I was amazed to hear a couple of days ago that two families I am related to in the Midwest (Texas and Oklahoma), families that orient their entire lives around Baptist-Jesus principles, are NOT out for blood, but rather said that maybe this should be the time that people finally learn to deal with crises without killing each other. This was the best news I had heard lately.

Who took these polls of "the American people" who want instant retaliation, and which people exactly did they poll?

The Herald Tribune article about the stolen identities of the hijackers was taken from one in the Washington Post, which has more details. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/nation/A59320-2001Sep19.html

the Herald Tribune, the main english language newspaper read by the international community in Europe, in spite of printing this (abbreviated) article, as well as one a couple of days ago about the father of Mohamed Atta, declaring he could not believe that his gentle son could have done this or been drinking in a bar, as he was described to have done in the news,

the Herald Tribune has a full-page feature on the hijackers. It IS interesting to note that they actually do make mention of stolen identities, if in the small print.

Anyway, where is the conclusive proof, which the rest of the world is demanding, that the US actually knows who did these awful crimes?

Acting without proof and without real work to fully include the interests of the other countries of the world?

not a good idea.
