Information About "Homeland Security" Firm

by anon
One multi-million dollar RAND corporation spin-off firm predicted the need to start updating HomelandSecurity.org, just a few weeks before S11.
In our complete disbelief that George Bush continually referred to the "Office of Homeland Security" tonight during his address to Congress, we thought we'd check it out on google. To our surprise, we found this odd site, HomelandSecurity.org ... this site was registered on Feb 15, 2001. Their archived news page only goes back to August 21, 2001. It is registered to Anser, Inc.. These sites explain in detail the concepts of homeland security, how they can be implemented, etc. All set up and perfect in time for S11. Their revenue in FY99 was $70 million. Their "Leadership Team" is comprised of ex-CIA, ex-military, etc. Anser is a RAND corporation spin-off. Funny how things fall together so neatly.

This means the names and the general idea were already being cooked up at, and proposed by, the Rand think tank. That's not surprising - did you honestly believe that Bush thinks for himself?

"Domestic terrorism" was already selected by the Powers That Be as the new boogieman for the 1st decade of the 21st century, a few years ago. Ive seen this coming.

In the 90s it was "drug dealers".
In the 80s it was "the Russians", "middle-eastern terrorists", "drug dealers", "gangs", and "Satanic cults" all at once.
In the 70s it was "the Russians".
In the 50s and 60s, it was "the communists".
In the 40s, it was "the Nazis".
In the 30s.. actually, Im not sure who it was in the 30s. B-)
In the 20s it was Prohibition and "the gangsters".

Before that.. "Injuns". Before that, "witches and devil worshippers". Before that, all "heathens". Before that, "the vikings", etc, etc.

"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed -- and thus clamorous to be led to safety -- by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary." -- H.L. Mencken

Which is not to say the WTC was a mass hallucination, but you get the idea.

I just think it's funny that the basic terms "defense" and "national security" have become so distorted and degraded that new phrases have now been invented to refer to actual defensive operations and actual security.

We wouldn't have to say "homeland defense" if "defense" by itself didn't now mean "occupation of foreign territory by American soldiers and sailors under any convenient current or past pretext for as long as we damn well please."

I best remember the word 'homeland' as the name that
the former government of South Africa used for the ghettos that black people were 'kept' in.

Anyway the whole thing sounds like doublespeak for the gestapo.

A lot of the original Homeland defense was directed against eco-terrorists who have killed hundreds by destroying valid medical research. Loggers were killed by terrorists who spiked trees. Much of their nefarious work went ignored until Washington realized that there is no fundamental difference between the al Queda and the loose organization of anti-capitalists. Both want to use force to return the world to a dictatorship removed from all comfort and technology. Both seek to destroy man's mind, and his ability to live for himself.
