Berkeley Anti-Racism Demo: Israeli-USA Counterprotesters for War

I found this on msn after I logged out of my Hotmail account. It was titled "Who's Who in the Terror War", so I decided to click on it and see what this person had to say. Here is what he had to say about Israel and the Palestinians, followed by and my response.

What is Mr. Poltz trying to do here? Is he trying to rewrite history? Is he trying to tell me that Israel, the largest terrorist organization since it's conception, is justified in denying the Palestinians their right of self determination and self rule, in the very same land they existed.

Wake up Mr. Poltz. Your ignorance is as bright as the Sun at perihelion.

I happen to be the man on the left of that picture. Not only am I deeply disturbed by the disgusting way that quotes were put in out mouths, but even more so by the hatred being spread by this website. Anyone who takes this site seriously should be ashamed of themselves.

You would think that a people who had suffered through the Holocaust would have learned to treat everyone equally. Let me ask you: can you date a goya and tell your family about it? Before you trash this site, examine your own beliefs. Israel is a leading arms dealer in the world, right behind the good 'ol US of A. So when we talk about death-merchants, Israel is at the top of the list. Israel has violated the sovereign territory of another nation, the Palestinian Authority, with tank, helicopter and jet fighter attacks. This is in violation of U.N. charter. Israel carries out assassinations of civlians at will; this is in violation of the Geneva Convention. Israel also deprives an indigenous people of their right to exist peacefully on their own land. And remember Jonathon Pollard?

So let's set the record straight about who the aggressors are and who is being subjugated. It is Israel's and the United States' own foreign policies which make the rest of the world hate them. Sh*t, the Israelis even knocked-off one of their own politicians because he wanted to make peace! Nuff said?

What happened to critical thinking? Whoever would rather learn the facts for themselves, would see that the true oppressers of the palestinian people are its leaders, who just can't say YES. After they were offered a state and said no, Israel can't be blamed at all.

Those quotes are DIRECTLY from the person standing in the center of the picture. I specifically asked him to clarify why he was there, and that is what he said. I am just reporting it here.

It is pretty pathetic that people show up at a protest waving the flags of two countries which are known hostile aggressors and a sore point for those at the rally. Would you feel okay if someone showed up at a Jewish event holding a Nazi swastika flag? And then they come on SF Indymedia and claim to be me misrepresented. Write your own damn article, then, and let's see what you really have to say, instead of hiding behind flags?

What I want to know is: why is Israeli media so one-sided? Why don't the settlers leave? Why can't the Palestinians have a state on their terms, not Israel's terms? Why is Israel such a wealthy country while the West Bank and Gaza residents live in abject poverty?
