US death squads and drug war. Millions killed worldwide over decades. USA sucks.

Why do clueless Americans wonder why people outside the USA often hate the USA? US and US-aided death squads have killed millions of people over decades and have overthrown dozens of governments, many of which were elected. The US should stop doing the many evil things detailed in the many links in the drug war and death squad web page farther below.
Ending American terrorism must occur at the same time as ending Osama bin Laden\'s (and others) terrorism. Otherwise the terrorism will only get worse. Anthrax and other bioweapons, suitcase nukes, shortrange missile-delivered nukes, etc.. Most of these weapons already exist because the USA developed the technology. That knowledge is now out there. Real Justice and Democracy and Accountability is the only way to end this cycle of violence. And the most terroristic state by far, today, is the USA. The US can start by forcing Israel to settle the issue of occupied Palestine fairly. Israel would do almost whatever we tell them to do if we threatened withdrawing our support for them, and our weapons. The US can stop propping up brutal dictatorships such as the Saudi government. The US can stop some of the brutal sanctions that have killed hundreds of thousands of children in Iraq. The USA can apologize for, and stop, all the activities detailed below. --------------- --------------- Drug War, Death Squad LINKS. Revised. CIA, DEA, FBI, etc. worldwide. Introduction.   [TopLink]

This page covers death squads in general, and also those that are related to the drug war. Dates are indicated by month and year usually. Such as 7-2001 indicating July 2001.

"The first truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in essence, is fascism - ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling power. Among us today a concentration of private power without equal in history is growing."
-President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. (One Thousand Americans, George Seldes, page 5.)

\"Fascism should more appropriately be called corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power.\" -Mussolini

\"The only difference between Bush and Gore is the velocity with which their knees hit the floor when corporations knock at the door.\"
Ralph Nader (Green Party presidential candidate. Election year 2000 quote)

"The U.S. trains nearly 40,000 non-NATO military personnel each year, both in their own countries and at over 100 facilities on U.S. soil. ... On too many tragic occasions, U.S. trainees have gone on to abuse human rights, to undermine their countries\' democracies, or to enrich themselves through corruption. "However, in 1991 a bland sounding piece of Pentagon sponsored legislation--Section 2011 of Title 10 of the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations--changed all that. The law allowed U.S. Special Forces to be deployed in foreign countries if their primary purpose was to receive rather than give training there. Perhaps most significantly, this legislation largely exempted Special Forces on these missions from [laws preventing their] training with known human rights violators." *The MAJORITY of the 2 million U.S. inmates are incarcerated due to the drug war! The Drug-War Industrial Complex. The U.S. drug-war inmate MAJORITY is calculated by adding together inmates committing drug crimes, drug-related crimes (such as robbing to get money for drugs that are expensive because of the drug war), drug-related parole violations, etc.. The USA has 5% of the world's population and 25% of the world's 8 MILLION prisoners. The USA surpassed Russia in the year 2000, and so the USA again has the world's highest incarceration rate! It is now 5 to 17 times higher than all other Western (long democratic traditions) nations. The US incarceration rate has nearly QUADRUPLED since Reagan's election in 1980. 6.5 million adults, or 1 in 32 adults in the USA, or 3.1% of adults, were under correctional supervision (in jail, in prison, on probation, or on parole) at yearend 2000.
