News Flash: NYC WTC destroyed, Pentagon Attacked, Was this Staged by the US gov?
World Trade Center Destroyed by two planes, Pentagon attacked by smaller jet, Fourth aircraft down in Somerset County PA
Ok, as of 8:42 AM EST two planes crashed into the World Trade Center. The North tower collapsed in on itself almost immediately; shortly thereafter the south tower fell over into downtown Manhattan. No report as to how many dead yet.
The Pentagon was also struck by a smaller jet, a lear jet I believe. But, they hit "the wrong side" the joint cheifs of staff etc were on the opposite side.
Another plane from Newark to SFO was also apparently hijacked and crashed in Somerset county about 30 mi SW of Pittsburgh, PA.
Could the US gov't have staged this to have an excuse to go on a rampage?
Remember what W has said, that he would only touch the SocSecurity in times of recession or war? This could be his big excuse. Who could or would benefit from this? Could we seize the advantage here? Who could dig into the government to see if they are behind this? There are things that feed off the energy of fear, terror, pain etc. and I think that there could be some evil times ahead.
Don't let McCarthyist, Gestapo tactics push us under!
There is more attention than ever before on the IndyMedia movement. And I repeat what an eyewitness poster from NYC said on Twin Cities IM, that I am sorry, terrribly sorry for the loss of life involved. But seeing the towers go down, I feel only joy.

However, in this country that isn't happening nomatter what you fantazize about! You're a sicko!!!
No one "enjoys" loss of life,......yet,... a smile is on my face as well...
families, et al. when I state what should be obvious: that
what occurred today was both horrible and inevitable.
There are over 6 billion people on the planet and a very
small number of them are served by that monument to
capitalism once known as the world trade center. It was
only a matter of time before the building would once again
be a target of a terrorist attack (as it had in 1993). It
is somewhat naive to be surprised by this. As for the
Pentagon . . . nothing more need be said.
Today one of the national news outlets showed a clip of
people in Palestine celebrating the vulnerability of the US
by waving their arms in the air and flashing victory signs.
I fear that this sentiment will be terribly mis-understood
by the casual observer deeply shocked by the tragedy and
manipulated by those maudlin attitudes of the newscasters.
I keep thinking of this: what had happened to these people
that they would loose their humanity in dancing on the
graves of thousands of innocent people? I don't blame them
you understand, I have no enmity toward their feelings, I
am only disturbed that they have been brought to embrace
such feelings in the first place. We must ask ask
ourselves how have we come this far?
But the corporate news is focusing on other questions
clearly. I hear that this is an 'attack against the US' as
if it is the equivalent of the Japanese attack on Pearl
Harbor (one station repeated this ad nauseum). Was it as
bad as killing all those civilians at Hiroshima? Nagasaki?
And what about the killing of the first Americans?
Doesn't that constitute a domestic terrorist act of far
more damaging proportions? As usual true terrorism is seen
as only that which happens to us. Listen to how it is
characterized as 'cowardly' and how retribution is the
theme of the day. Is that the worst thing you can say
about someone is that they are cowardly? Are we supposed
to dig out the corpses of the hijackers from the rubble at
the WTC and kill them again? Revenge takes precedence over
justice once again. Will this nation ever learn justice?
Just a thought. Let's try to not get caught up in the
'spectacle' of reporting re:today's events. Already I hear
national security advisors quick to circle the wagons. The
border to first Mexico and now Canada has been closed?
Undoubtedly the fear of terrorism will be used as
justification for the suspension of many of our civil
liberties. Dissent, hardly tolerated in the first place
here in the US, will now be found as downright
un-patriotic. Mark my words: in a state obsessed with
terrorism the first casualty is always freedom.
but we need to look at this clear-headedly. who stands to benefit from this? israel. maybe ariel sharon will finally get the U.S. to support his war on the palestinians.
Those two buildings have created a better world for millions of people. And even if you disagree with their motivation, they are not guilty of any crime or any wrongdoing whatsoever!
Why would assholes like you want to live in a nation that is based on freedom if you hate it so much?
Fuck you. I had friends that worked in that building. I know thoughtless fuckers like you have no idea what it is like to be a human being, but I do. My friends may be dead. I'm sure that worthless shit like you are just eating this up. To you, this is a victory, but to rational, normal people, this is the worst day in American history.
Read that again. I had friends that worked in that building.
FUCK YOU
who is ruthless enough to do these horrible attacks?
and has a coordinated, sophisticated enough secret service to carry it off?
war criminal ariel sharon, the "butcher of beirut?"
just an idea. let's keep our minds and our eyes open - very, very open.
don't let anyone put one over on us.
Can't they focus on helping the survivors at least for an entire day before calling for more bloodshed?
Could it be George Walker Bush's cowbody dick-slinging fuck the rest of the world America will do what it wants (ditch missle treaties, ditch environmental treaties, support israel's violence on palestinitans) had something to do with this?
It seems likely that more individuals in America have now violently died because of our governments policies. Could this result in more vocal opposition to our government's repressive policies?
I fear instead the police state will crush down on us even faster.
RTS was labelled a terrorist before this happened. I heard John McCain say he's long urged for more "human intelligence" gathering. I'd expect even more infiltration and violence against anti-capitalist groups that are working for a better life for everybody.
Is this what bullies get - CLINTON BULLY in IRAQ? Is this revenge? Or wil the New World Order win from this.
Check out the book "The Incredible Bread Machine" for info on what governments do and have done throughout history. Hitler would be proud of this one!
In short, the US can be held accountable for it's actions around the globe.
It's unreasonable to think that, as Bush says (paraphrasing) "We were attacked because we are the beacon of freedom in the world".
We were attacked because of our actions overseas. I don't call these acts of war right just as I don't call any act of war right. But I find it hard to call the acts "unprovoked acts of cowardism" as so many people have labeled them. Is much more plausible to call them effective acts of war in direct response to (undeclared) acts of war perpetrated by the money and influence of the US.
>No one "enjoys" loss of life,......yet,... a smile is on >my face as well...
Choking back the rising bile upon reading the preceeding....
I have a good friend who was thankfully bumped from that Newark/SFO flight; I have a niece who is a United attendent; I have an ex-brother-in-law who was saved from being trapped in the middle of the carnage because he was late for work. I hear about women rushing with babies in prams to escape - only to be enveloped in a storm of ash and debri. 10,000+ dead - and they are somehow implicated in a crime of "corporate stench"?!!!
Is a janitor job in the WTC worthy of capital punishment? Is any job?
Do me a favor and read Michael Moore at http://www.michaelmoore.com/2001_0912.html. You will see that the majority of people enveloped in the fireball were working people - the consituency for which the Left ostensibly advocates.
"Smiling" at the destruction of the WTC is not a capital crime either - its simply crude and perverse.
