News Flash: NYC WTC destroyed, Pentagon Attacked, Was this Staged by the US gov?

by DaraGrey
World Trade Center Destroyed by two planes, Pentagon attacked by smaller jet, Fourth aircraft down in Somerset County PA
wtc.jpg
Ok, as of 8:42 AM EST two planes crashed into the World Trade Center. The North tower collapsed in on itself almost immediately; shortly thereafter the south tower fell over into downtown Manhattan. No report as to how many dead yet.
The Pentagon was also struck by a smaller jet, a lear jet I believe. But, they hit "the wrong side" the joint cheifs of staff etc were on the opposite side.
Another plane from Newark to SFO was also apparently hijacked and crashed in Somerset county about 30 mi SW of Pittsburgh, PA.
Could the US gov't have staged this to have an excuse to go on a rampage?
Remember what W has said, that he would only touch the SocSecurity in times of recession or war? This could be his big excuse. Who could or would benefit from this? Could we seize the advantage here? Who could dig into the government to see if they are behind this? There are things that feed off the energy of fear, terror, pain etc. and I think that there could be some evil times ahead.
Don't let McCarthyist, Gestapo tactics push us under!
There is more attention than ever before on the IndyMedia movement. And I repeat what an eyewitness poster from NYC said on Twin Cities IM, that I am sorry, terrribly sorry for the loss of life involved. But seeing the towers go down, I feel only joy.

Grant Us the Power to Bring the World Revolution

If you are so deranged and dellusional than perhaps they should come to get you and make you disappear, ala Argentina.
However, in this country that isn't happening nomatter what you fantazize about! You're a sicko!!!
by moonbird
yes..... it has been asked if I would smile if any members of my family where in the WTC,.... my answer is a delve into the obvious......: though consciously innocent,.... employees worked in the planetary work machine by choice,... thus unconsciously tying themselves on a very physical level to this hub of Corporate Stench...
No one "enjoys" loss of life,......yet,... a smile is on my face as well...
by Brad (n/a)
How is a person who is for non-violence and only against the evil that was represnted by those to targets a sicko? I'm deeply sorry for what happened, no one no matter who they are deserves death. How can you be so sure that you wouldn't have been just like them? You've already proved that you're not open to new ideas by condemming this one, when really how bad is it if it only supports non-violence. I'm also willing to bet that you don't know much about what we've been doing to them for the past few decades and the millions of deaths we've caused. This sort of anger just doesn't pop out of no where. Look at the targets, they didn't hit schools or malls oranything completely civillian. Don't get me wrong, it still isn't right, and i'll never say that what they did is right. But to condemn a man who supports non-violence and the fucked up ideologies that came out of those buildings, is in my view just as wrong as what they did in killing those people. You're not seeing both sides, perhaps through not knowing their side, or perhaps because you're too into your own country and your own safety to care of others. Find me another reason for that and I'll change my opinions.

I mean no disrespect to those who were killed, their
families, et al. when I state what should be obvious: that
what occurred today was both horrible and inevitable.
There are over 6 billion people on the planet and a very
small number of them are served by that monument to
capitalism once known as the world trade center. It was
only a matter of time before the building would once again
be a target of a terrorist attack (as it had in 1993). It
is somewhat naive to be surprised by this. As for the
Pentagon . . . nothing more need be said.

Today one of the national news outlets showed a clip of
people in Palestine celebrating the vulnerability of the US
by waving their arms in the air and flashing victory signs.
I fear that this sentiment will be terribly mis-understood
by the casual observer deeply shocked by the tragedy and
manipulated by those maudlin attitudes of the newscasters.
I keep thinking of this: what had happened to these people
that they would loose their humanity in dancing on the
graves of thousands of innocent people? I don't blame them
you understand, I have no enmity toward their feelings, I
am only disturbed that they have been brought to embrace
such feelings in the first place. We must ask ask
ourselves how have we come this far?

But the corporate news is focusing on other questions
clearly. I hear that this is an 'attack against the US' as
if it is the equivalent of the Japanese attack on Pearl
Harbor (one station repeated this ad nauseum). Was it as
bad as killing all those civilians at Hiroshima? Nagasaki?
And what about the killing of the first Americans?
Doesn't that constitute a domestic terrorist act of far
more damaging proportions? As usual true terrorism is seen
as only that which happens to us. Listen to how it is
characterized as 'cowardly' and how retribution is the
theme of the day. Is that the worst thing you can say
about someone is that they are cowardly? Are we supposed
to dig out the corpses of the hijackers from the rubble at
the WTC and kill them again? Revenge takes precedence over
justice once again. Will this nation ever learn justice?

Just a thought. Let's try to not get caught up in the
'spectacle' of reporting re:today's events. Already I hear
national security advisors quick to circle the wagons. The
border to first Mexico and now Canada has been closed?
Undoubtedly the fear of terrorism will be used as
justification for the suspension of many of our civil
liberties. Dissent, hardly tolerated in the first place
here in the US, will now be found as downright
un-patriotic. Mark my words: in a state obsessed with
terrorism the first casualty is always freedom.

no one should feel joy at what has happened - only sorrow.

but we need to look at this clear-headedly. who stands to benefit from this? israel. maybe ariel sharon will finally get the U.S. to support his war on the palestinians.
by Bereaved
Get it through your god damned skulls that Capitalism in not the enemy. You arrogant and paranoid fucks are laughing at the death of more than 10,000 people.

Those two buildings have created a better world for millions of people. And even if you disagree with their motivation, they are not guilty of any crime or any wrongdoing whatsoever!

Why would assholes like you want to live in a nation that is based on freedom if you hate it so much?

Fuck you. I had friends that worked in that building. I know thoughtless fuckers like you have no idea what it is like to be a human being, but I do. My friends may be dead. I'm sure that worthless shit like you are just eating this up. To you, this is a victory, but to rational, normal people, this is the worst day in American history.

Read that again. I had friends that worked in that building.

FUCK YOU

Jeeeeeezus fuckin christ! they blew up the fuckin WTC!! Can you believe it?! Why the fuck are we arguin over how we should feel about it? You can't control your feelings. If you're happy, then be happy about it and don't be ashamed. If your sad about it, then grieve. Whatever! Myself, I'm awestruck. Fuckin awestruck.....
by preachermansteve (cricket [at] neocities.zzn.com)
by the way, bereaved, there's really no need to be so melodramatic. These people are just venting how they feel, things that any human being does, and accusing them of non-membership in the human race is, at best, silly. Calm down and don't get yourself so bereaved that it drives you past the point of thinking rationally. That goes for everyone else, as well. It seems to me that there is a definite "herd mentallity" springing up amongst conservatives and liberals alike (or between fascists and anarchists, or right wingers and left wingers, or whatever you prefer), and it's really going to do nothing but drive us backwards instead of forwards. There's no point yelling at each other or telling each other how to react, however, that's for sure. Maybe I'm guilty of that myself in this message, but I think that some of these messages are like a doctor bitchin at a patient for jerking his knee when it is tapped.....thatsallthereaintnomore

i just want to point out again: who will suffer from this? arabs. probably palestinians. who will benefit? israel will now - i suspect - get even more support for its war on the palestinians.

who is ruthless enough to do these horrible attacks?

and has a coordinated, sophisticated enough secret service to carry it off?

war criminal ariel sharon, the "butcher of beirut?"

just an idea. let's keep our minds and our eyes open - very, very open.

don't let anyone put one over on us.
by disturbed angry and afraid for the future
I must note that i find it terrible that the first word out of many politicians mouths is retaliation. Kill more people. Gov Pataki said this was an attack not just on America but on freedom. Sickening.

Can't they focus on helping the survivors at least for an entire day before calling for more bloodshed?

Could it be George Walker Bush's cowbody dick-slinging fuck the rest of the world America will do what it wants (ditch missle treaties, ditch environmental treaties, support israel's violence on palestinitans) had something to do with this?

It seems likely that more individuals in America have now violently died because of our governments policies. Could this result in more vocal opposition to our government's repressive policies?

I fear instead the police state will crush down on us even faster.

RTS was labelled a terrorist before this happened. I heard John McCain say he's long urged for more "human intelligence" gathering. I'd expect even more infiltration and violence against anti-capitalist groups that are working for a better life for everybody.

They were tired of shooting up kids in schools I guess (for control and power). This is what governments do - they create the event and then make laws against us. Check out ALEX JONES for more info. They want us in control. We were too smart for them. We will be like totalitarian China next. WHO BENEFITS from this? Why do they keep pushing people into the cities - so they can watch us constantly, put us on drugs, brainwash us in schools, etc.

Is this what bullies get - CLINTON BULLY in IRAQ? Is this revenge? Or wil the New World Order win from this.

Check out the book "The Incredible Bread Machine" for info on what governments do and have done throughout history. Hitler would be proud of this one!

I agree that this is a very sad event, but it would be even more sad if we don't learn the lesson it can teach.

In short, the US can be held accountable for it's actions around the globe.

It's unreasonable to think that, as Bush says (paraphrasing) "We were attacked because we are the beacon of freedom in the world".

We were attacked because of our actions overseas. I don't call these acts of war right just as I don't call any act of war right. But I find it hard to call the acts "unprovoked acts of cowardism" as so many people have labeled them. Is much more plausible to call them effective acts of war in direct response to (undeclared) acts of war perpetrated by the money and influence of the US.

Choking back the rising bile upon reading the preceeding....

I have a good friend who was thankfully bumped from that Newark/SFO flight; I have a niece who is a United attendent; I have an ex-brother-in-law who was saved from being trapped in the middle of the carnage because he was late for work. I hear about women rushing with babies in prams to escape - only to be enveloped in a storm of ash and debri. 10,000+ dead - and they are somehow implicated in a crime of "corporate stench"?!!!

Is a janitor job in the WTC worthy of capital punishment? Is any job?

Do me a favor and read Michael Moore at http://www.michaelmoore.com/2001_0912.html. You will see that the majority of people enveloped in the fireball were working people - the consituency for which the Left ostensibly advocates.

"Smiling" at the destruction of the WTC is not a capital crime either - its simply crude and perverse.

Wake up these so called terroists were trained and financed by the CIA.Dubaya gets installed by the Supreme Facists,Economy takes a dive,Popularity % goes down, excuses on how powers that be wont spend ss $$$$ unless war, many Photo ops and flags,George Sr.x boss of CIA,terror strikes the normal folks always Dubaya & USAma,CIA, safe as a BUG in a rug,now the reason to install martial law national ID's c'mon zieg hail Bush & all other Militeristic evil powers who through fear & anger control the masses.Peace & Love& Co-operation is the only answer.
You people need to seek therapy. If George W. and the CIA are behind this then so are at least 51% of the American people. Did W. and the CIA go out and recruit and pay off the millions of people who voted for W? You guys have quite a fucked up view of the world. In my opinion, the first thing W. should do is find you and send you to Afganistan. There you will have your dreads cut off,and your hacky sacks taken away. Of course your stench will be normal and weed will probably be allowed (if you can grow it in such a dry climate). Oh..don't forget there aren't very many trees to protect there...it's desert.
