Hard not to note the irony of this picture. EF is using wood -- probably wood that they have taken off Mattole old-growth trees -- in order to build a barracade. You are all idiots.

Have you ever been in the woods before? there are branches that naturally fall off of trees everywhere! Not to mention all of the slash from already clearcut sections of the forest. The real irony is that someone would make up some stupid little comment to criticise EF! and ignore the destructive actions of PL/MAXXAM and charlie hurwitz against ecosystems, communities, workers and activists.

Trees live longer than humans... wonder why? because people are idiots... leave the trees alone.

Although Ef! does support the mattole free state, it is not an Ef! campaign. We are simply a group of people who have come together to stop the destruction of the forest and its inhabitants.

not only was this blockade constructed from slash
( branches left over from PL's clearcut hill/land slides), but it was recycled slash! It had been used on former blockades and will be used for many to come. smart ass

It doesnt take a brain scientist to realize the mess the LOGGERS leave behind - clearly the ruin and branches of trees they massacre. The DEFENDERS if anything are recycling the waste of that destruction by using those branches as blockades. At least the trees didnt die totally in vain.

Have YOU ever been in the Redwoods?

I just got back and I was abhorred at all the logging trucks, zooming by. one after another, non stop. Driving very fast down steep dirt roads.

I drove by Scotia, Stafford, all the towns Id read about. not one hillside I saw that had no trace of some kind of logging. NOT ONE. Thats a total shame and shame on humans for letting that happen.

Its time to wake up and realize and stop the maddness before humans destroy the earth that God gave us!
