This film shows the conditions of lives of a working class and farming Palestinian village in Israel. The Galilean village of Ramia epitomizes the central conflict in Israel.
The latter proclaims itself to be a Jewish state, despite the awkward fact that a fifth of its citizens are Palestinian. Ramia, an Arab village, has existed since the British Mandate, but Israel refuses to recognize it and therefore to provide services and infrastructure. The Jewish high-tech city of Carmiel, founded in 1964, is now taking over the village's land. Assaf Advi, coordinator of the Workers Advice Center is in the film and will be at the screening for questions and discussion.
