... first a moment of silence for those murdered in Genoa...
RACE is a new group just starting up in the bay area for anarchists/anti-authoritarians of color. We welcome all who are interested in getting involved.

RACE (Revolutionary Anti-authoritarians of Color for Equality)
RACE is a new collective forming in order to support and organize efforts by people of color involved in anti-authoritarian politics. We seek to raise critical questions about race, gender, class, sexuality, age, culture, and nature and explore how these issues intersect with the various struggles against authority and capital. We seek to strengthen and broaden the involvement of people of color in these struggles by articulating a vision of a free, equal, and cooperative society that resonates in our diverse communities.
However, we do not intend for RACE to be exclusively for people of color. While rooted in the struggle of communities of color for equality, RACE includes white activists as part of a multiracial, non-white-dominated revolutionary organization.
As anti-authoritarians with personal experiences of subordination, we will insist on a politics of revolutionary equality for ourselves and our communities. We believe the anarchist/anti-authoritarian movement will be incomplete so long as any material, cultural, and personal inequalities persist. However, neither token "equality" nor liberal "equality of opportunity" is sufficient. True equality demands that if whites dreaming of a new world can live and work with a movement that respects their culture, embraces their communities and is committed to their complete liberation, so can people of color.
Some of the ways we'd like to realize these goals is by holding cultural events, publishing literature, coordinating discussions, and developing campaigns. Anarchism must move beyond "white solidarity" with activists and organizations of color and develop multiracial anti-authoritarian praxis. We can no longer wait for the scensters and the perennial advocates of "minority outreach." The revolution is waiting.
