Petition for late night BART

The hours of operation of the BART system are insufficient to meet the needs of many people living in the San Francisco Bay Area. We, the undersigned, live in the Bay Area and believe that the BART schedule should be extended. We request that BART trains be run until 2:30 am Saturday and Sunday (Friday and Saturday nights) and night buses be run along the same route during all hours that the actual BART trains don't run. Not only will this provide the option to use public transportation to many people who wish to go to concerts, bars, or nightclubs, and help them avoid drunk-driving, but it will also provide affordable transportation for the many people who have late-night jobs and have been forced to relocate to the East Bay.
