Rainbow Warriors

by me
Hopi prophecy in the age of enlightenment. As the 4ht of July fast approaches I would like to move away from the glorification of war and towards celebrations of peace.

That's great and all, but it's not news so please post it to a message board somewhere.

More than two decades ago Barry Adams had a vision, that we were to gather in the mountains to pray for peace. The idea would be to take advantage of our freedom of assembly guaranteed in the U.S. Constitution to stage a massive demonstration for peace. In the area of the gathering, there would be a complete zone of non-violence, and everyone would be a peacekeeper, or Shanti Sena, to enforce that rule.

Barry and those that believed in the vision also asked that there be no commercialization of the gathering and no money exchanged. This served to keep the peace, encourage individual effort, and to keep the national park service from treating the gathering as a business.

The prayer for peace has become traditional. As hundreds of thousands from around the world have gathered for the Fourth of July prayer, chanting the OM and visualizing a better world, free of violence and the bonds of money, we have seen a successful new way to live.
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
