Julia 'Butterfly' Hill (Justice for Judi Bari Rally)

The following people: Alexander Cockburn, Bruce Anderson (editor of the Anderson Valley Adverstisor which Judi Bari write for), Jim Martin (Flatland magazine), Mary Moore (Sonoma Free Press and personal friend of Judi Bari), Steve Talbott (made documentary "who Bombed Judi Bari for" public TV KQED, and many others believe that evidence in the Bari/cherney bombing points at Judi's ex-husband Mike Sweeney.
This story should be investigated.

Mike Sweeney, Judi Bari's exhusband refused to take a polygraph back in 1999 when columnist and author Alexander Cockburn offered him a chance to clear up questions about Sweeney's role (if any) in the 1990 bomb explosion in Bari's Subaru in Oakland. Sweeney based his refusal by claiming that polygraphs are not scientific - a point which many would argue. Now Darryl Cherney has come up with what Cherney claims is new DNA evidence on certain documents related to the bombing case. Will Sweeney give a DNA sample in order to permit a comparison with the DNA from the documents? In my opinion it's not likely that Sweeney will voluntarily come forward. But even stranger is the fact that Cherney is trying to steer the DNA investigation away from Sweeney. However, Sweeney's DNA will be obtained before the April 2002 trial begins. I surmise that Cherney knows that if and when Sweeney's DNA is found to be a match, Cherney and Bari's lawsuit will collapse like a house of cards (made from a deck of jokers). Cherney would rather collect his 20 million than conduct a real investigation into "Who Bombed Judi Bari?". The evidence seems to point to the FBI as being either responsible for the bombing or iresponsible for not investigating properly. The FBI has a long history of disrupting and discrediting crucial social movements in the USA that could help our society progress towards a truly free and democratic nation. Justice for Judi Bari!
