International Arbitration and Restoring the Kingdom of Hawai\'i
by Hawai\'i IMC editorial 6:42pm Tue Mar 6 \'01
The case of Lance Paul Larsen vs. the Kingdom of Hawai\'i before the international court at the Hague, Netherlands
International arbitrators are trying to resolve a dispute between Big Island resident Lance P. Larsen (Hawaiian subject) and the kingdom. In the case before the international court, Lance P. Larsen, represented by attorney Ninia Parks, was arrested and jailed for 30 days in October 1999 for driving his vehicle in Hilo without a drivers license, license plate, safety check and registration. Larsen claims that the kingdom\'s laws are still applicable even though the nation is occupied by the United States. Larsen filed a federal lawsuit accusing the Kingdom of Hawai\'i of not protecting his rights as one of
its subjects. More specifically, his right to drive on the Big Island without a drivers license. The kingdom has responded by saying its laws are gagged due to the control of Hawai\'i by the U.S. The case was dismissed in federal court after Larsen, and the kingdom agreed to resolve the dispute in the World Court.
Hawaiian subject and acting agent for the Kingdom of Hawai\'i David Keanu Sai recently spoke in Kaua\'i and explained that a case before an international court at The Hague, Netherlands will tell the world the United States is
responsible for the illegal takeover of the Kingdom of Hawai\'i. The oral arguments already held in December 2000 before the international court have exposed the United States violations in its occupation of Hawai\'i. Because
Larsen\'s arrest stems from enforcement of U.S. laws, the court will decide in March whether the U.S. should be a party to the case. The case also illustrates U.S. violations against the kingdom since 1893, when Queen
Lili\'uokalani was deposed by an illegal provisional government. In its occupation of Hawai\'i, the United States violated international law by simply ignoring existing kingdom laws and administering its own laws illegally
applied to the islands. These laws also allowed illegal legislation in 1900 that turned Hawai\'i into territory, illegal creation of the states Hawaiian Homes Commission Act in 1920, and illegally turning Hawai\'i into a state in
1959. Sai further explains that the ousting of Queen Lili\'uokalani as the Kingdom of Hawai\'i\' head of state did not occur, and the annexation of the Hawaiian Islands to the U.S. was illegal because Hawai\'i remains a nation with standing among world nations and was never part of the U.S. This means all laws passed by the United States Congress affect all other 49 states and not Hawai\'i.
Sai continued to explain that two attempted resolutions have no bearing on Hawai\'i. One being the Apology Bill former President Bill Clinton signed in 1993 for the illegal overthrow of Hawai\'i and the second being recent reintroduced legislation for federal recognition of Native Hawaiians by Hawai\'i state democrats.
Recognizing the violations committed by the United States against the Kingdom of Hawai\'i will be a foothold for Hawaiians claiming reparations. Most notably swift restitution and restoration of land rights for Hawaiians.
The Larsen case before the international court at The Hague, Netherlands has exposed multiple violations to world powers that could force the United States out of Hawai\'i. For complete info on this case go to link below.
