Lockdown in the Mattole 4-17

by MFD
Lockdwoners in the car where subjected to water being poured on them by the sheriffs to try and get them to release. They chilled strong and had to be jack hammered out, before being arrested and taken to the pokey.

Saving the wombat forest by blockading and questioning politiyions at central victoria(near melb)A subjective account;
Woke at 7 am ,got lift to daylsford and started short march to "fawlty towers"
The vic.state govt.swine still had their snouts in the trough as we rocked up.
We began calling for dialogue with sheryl garbutt over chronic departmental cockups
in her ministry.(NRE)We exercised our lungs, tested the police resolve and scoped out
the sneaky ways the cabinet could evade us.Using mobile phones and banners we
soon had them surrounded.A token delegation was allowed in for a quick
briefing. One bus was held up and car owners leaving were questioned as we
made our presence felt to passing motorists and the inmates of the asylum.
Then the bus carrying the cabinet crept out a side entrance that was lightly gaurded.
there was a clash I saw the tail end of as a skinhead in a puke green suit
threw someone violently away from the bus,I was told later the bus was about
to run over a young womyn. The bus began climbing toward us at the intersection,
I just had time to phone for reinforcements and we threw ourselves in
front of the bus.Almost straight away I was set on by 2 suits who wre shouting
and attempting to get me off the front of the bus.Someone lay down on the road
as more of us arrived from the main entrance.I was prised off and thrown to one
side as I yelled "who are you?are you police?"One said he was yet showed no ID.
Someone said later they had earpieces and at least 1 had a sholder holster.
Some one distacted them and I leapt back on the bullbar. They ripped me off
and tossed me down on the road,I lost an anarchist badge. We delayed the bus
and banged on its windows before it got underway for its 2 block trip to the
town hall.Several people from forests groups got to see a brazen S.garbutt.
Reports indicate she evaded eye contact and her handshake after the powwow
was "clammy"More such empowering and enjoyable demonstrations may be taken in
future. The tide in the forest battles is turning. In a brief conversation I had
with some police, none voiced objections to having more identification than
small badges on hats.We will win.Save the owls, save the forests.
(powerful and barking owls live in dangered forest)
