Join us on Thursday, April 26 at 12 noon in front of the
Sanford Bernstein headquarters in downtown San Francisco-
555 California Street/Bank of America building.

On April 26 U'wa Traditional Leader Roberto Perez will be
visiting the NY headquarters of investment giant
Sanford Bernstein to demand they divest from Occidental Petroleum
and Stop Profiting from the Destruction of Indigenous
Lands and Cultures.
Occidental has drilled down 8,000 feet on U'wa land with
6,000 feet left to go before they reach their goal. Now
is the tme to stop this life destroying project!
Simultaneous actions will be happening at Sanford
Bernstein offices around the country in solidarity with
Roberto Perez, U'wa traditional authority leader.
In addition to confronting Sanford Bernstein Mr. Perez
will be raising awareness about the devastating effects
of the 1.3 billion dollar U.S. military aid package-Plan
Colombia.

April 25th U'wa Benefit Screening of "The Heart of the World"
A benefit screening of "The Heart of the World" a movie
about the Kogi people of Colombia will be shown on
Wednesday, April 25 at U.C. Berkeley. Speakers will
discuss the issues facing indigenous tribes in Colombia
as they confront the corporate global takeover and
militarization of their land due to Plan Colombia and the
FTAA.
The event starts at 7:30 at 30 Wheeler Hall at U.C.
Berkeley.
All proceeds will benefit the U'wa people.
