This is what democracy looks like!!

The Day was amazing for a demonstration of democracy. I was one of the 5-6000 people that marched on the Peace Arch in Blaine Wa.a nd I must say that I was proud of my sistars and brothars!!
The Speakers were loud and proud, the people were there with pride and stride and the performances were presented with true spirit.
After a couple of hours marching around the arch and exercising our ability to shut down the border into and out of Canada, 6 brave and proud Canadains decided that they needed to make a statment and locked themselves down on the road into Canada. Not being trained in civil disobedience they asked if anyone would be able to advise them on the hows and whats.
I was part of the Federal building occupation during the Gulf War protests in Seattle and worked as a peacekeeper.
I was able to advise the 6 Canadians quickly and with the few words they were arrested like they had been training for weeks!!
Just before the RMCP came to take them away, two eagles soared directly above the 6, giving them and the crowd some beautiful spirit.
THAT IS WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE TO ME!!!!
