a poem for the corporate media

the mainstream tabloids
must get hemmroids
from lifting all that hype,
here in the trenches
beyond the fences
we're compelled to take a swipe,
at network boardrooms
endless hair grooms
and your basic corporate type,
so what the heck
a wreck in quebec
was not the time quite ripe?

§Democracy over FTAA

Why would we want to organize global economics as a war of all against all? Engaging in war doesn't solve our economic problems. Engaging in war maintains and facilitates the problem. Do we really want to harvest the means of survival before anyone else can? Why? It has been repeatedly demonstrated throughout history that humans can maintain an abundant means of survival without war. Peaceful competition and innovation are available within a sustainable global economy. It just depends upon what our goal is and what choices we make.

Are we trying to maintain existence or are we trying to dominate the means of survival in order to prove a false notion of superiority? What are the values that guide the course of our existence? Will we automatically default to means of war or will we solve our basic economic problems peacefully?

War is the reason why the means of survival are weakening. We have the intelligence as a species to exist peacefully within an abundant means of health. We have the option of existing within a beautiful and diverse community of life. We also have the option of destroying it through means of war. It is our choice to make.
