National Day of Action against Trader Joe's
Tuesday April 17th is a national day of action against Trader Joe's. Tell Trader Joe's to do the right thing by eliminating genetically engineered ingredients from their store brand products!
Greenpeace, GE-Free LA and Northwest RAGE have launched a campaign against food retailer Trader Joe's because of their continued use of genetically engineered ingredients in their store brand products, and their refusal to address our concerns and those of their customers.
Last week, Trader Joe's began sending letters to their suppliers inquiring about their use of genetically engineered ingredients in the products they make for Trader Joe's. It is unclear what Trader Joe's plans to do with this information, but is certainly a step in the right direction. Let's keep up the pressure, Trader Joe's is listening!

§Opening our eyes!
I've recently moved to California and been exposed to Trader Joe's, although I have not yet shopped there, I was planning to do so On my way home to VT this spring. I might not stop there to purchase my food this time, but it's great to know that in the future Trader Joe's might realize the importance of this issue, labelling of GMO foods, and provide proper labeling for consumer choice. I myself will try to get a petition and have it signed by Trader Joe's customers I know, I hope you all will too.
