Courthouse Rally
Friday April 6, 2001
Banners were unfurled in front of the Humboldt County Courthouse urging that our forests and watersheds be saved from destructive PL/Maxxam clearcutting in the Mattole and other Humboldt County watersheds. The protesters, approximately 50 strong, were vocal in their support of the environment and the dedicated and courageous forest defenders jailed on Thursday. Passing motorist were predominately positive, honking and giving thumbs up in support of the rally.
