Commotion in Berkeley
Telegraph Ave, Berkeley
Apparently, there is some sort of commotion in Berkeley right now.
At approx. noon today a large band of High School kids carrying signs started running up and down Telegraph and connected streets.
Rumours of police roadblocks have been confirmed. Along Telegraph, all roads leading to the Berkeley "Sprawl" have been cordoned off by approx 40 cops. Billy-clubs in hand.
Rumours:
Foot Locker has been looted.
The "protestors" are all on the UC campus.
That's all for now

§Yes
Yes, it was the AA protest/rally. I didn't learn anything else about the protest though. I was stuck in a coffee shop that had locked it's doors.

§i was there and this was not part of it
I was there attending the rally, listening to the speakers, and marching. Any unrest that happened WAS NOT part of the rally. These were individuals who did it on thier own. It the media again. In fact, one of my friends told me about how right when it starting happening the media just rushed over to cover it. One of her classmates tried to block them and get thier attention saying, "this is not where the stoy is, the protest is the other way." However, the journalist near him said he didn't know what he was talking about and said that they "knew what they were doing."
