Santa Rosa Energy 'Crisis' Teach-In, March 1st!

The New College of California North Bay Campus will hold a california energy teach-in, open free to the public, on March 1st, 7-9 pm.
New College is located on 99 Sixth Street, Santa Rosa (off Wilson, near Railroad Square).

In the teach-in we hope to emphasize the following issues:
- Our historical relation to the power utilities, and how we got into the 'crisis'
- The big picture of global energy use, its effects socially and environmentally, and perspectives on the future
- Where we are now, and what can be done, including the establishment of MUDs and alternative power generation

Keith Rutledge, Director of the Renewable Energy Development Institute (REDI)
Barbara George, Executive Director, Women's Energy Matters
Gray Brechin, author of Imperial San Francisco: Urban Power, Earthly Ruin
Richard Heinberg, New College Core Faculty, will lead the discussion.
