Public Hearing (2/23) regarding a 51-megawatt "peaker power plant" at SFO.

by Dan Mattson (handyman [at] california.com)
I've researching our power situation today and ran across this press release from the California Energy Commission. Basically this says a new power plant is being proposed for SF airport, owned by El Paso Merchant Energy. This looks like an alternative to the plant that was going to float on the bay that no one wanted. Looks like there trying to slip this in. A Energy Commission vote is scheduled for Mar. 7. A public hearing is 2/23 at 10 am at the Holiday Inn in South San Francisco.
