Shaping the Policies of Globalization: Legislative Training
All are welcome for a training on legislative advocacy as a tool for advancing human centered, environmentally sustainable alternatives to corporate globalization. Join us for a discussion after the training about the role of advocacy, as well as direct action, in the movement for global justice.
Wednesday, February 14th
6:30-8:30pm

741 Valencia Street
Media Room
-- There will be a one hour training on how to do effective advocacy on the local, state and national levels with practical tips and step-by-step explanations of how to have a powerful meeting with public officials on your issue.
-- A lively strategy session will follow on policy initiatives such as FTAA, Bush's tax-cut plan, debt cancellation and World Bank and IMF policies.
Refreshments will be provided.
