We've got a battle on our hands. If we are going to win it, we need you to participate NOW !
The legislature is going to vote for this bond bailout bill this week - unless we do something about it.
They and the governor, and now the Bush/Chaney administration, are about to
force us to invest billions of dollars of our money into a bankrupt greed-ridden corporation - and force us to endure additional outrageous rate hikes to boot.
Join us in a caravan to Sacramento to meet with designated elected officials.
When: Wednesday, January 31
Where: Arriving in Sacramento by 11 AM
How: We will divide up into teams and meet with designated legislators in their offices.
Our Strategy: We will demand that our elected officials:
* Refuse any and all bailouts
* Extricate California taxpayers from rescuing failed private corporations
* Find solutions that act in the best interest of California taxpayers
* Join forces with representatives of The Utility Reform Network,
Consumer's Union, and with Harvey Rosenfield's organization to identify
thoughtful, pragmatic solutions that act in the best interest of California
taxpayers.
* Pay attention to the people who voted for them not to the executives of monopolies intent on feeding yet again at the public trough
