Elect Yourself!
The Neighborhood Party calls on everyone, everywhere to elect themselves, this day or any day, and immediately inaugurate the new "Citizens' Administration" for direct action, universal empowerment and personal integrity and responsibility.
ELECT YOURSELF! Neighborhood Party Inaugural Address 01/20/01
Over 250 million new openings...
With less than half of all eligible voters registered to vote, and less than half of all registered voters bothering to vote, and less than half of all actual voters casting their votes for the declared winner, there has never been a new President or new administration with a weaker mandate or more tenuous claim to legitimacy than the one inaugurated today (01/20/01) to head the world's most powerful government.
Even many voters that favor the new President voted for him because they profess to want less activism from him or from his new government. So it appears that - whether you support, oppose or just don't care about this new administration - if you really expect your interests to be heard, represented and respected, you'd better be ready to ELECT YOURSELF!...
Elect yourself to be responsible to get informed, empowered and connected to take charge of the quality and sustainability of your own life and extended neighborhoods. Don't expect much support from this government, nor from the empty rhetoric of false-hero, celebrity politicians.
These are seriously critical times. Economic, ecologic and social instabilities loom. We all need to engage our conscience and compassion, our creativity and initiative, our energy and resources, our hopes and commitments, to work for a more balanced and sustainable society that is still within our reach, but is also severely challenged and threatened.
The Neighborhood Party calls on everyone, everywhere to elect themselves, this day or any day, and immediately inaugurate the new "Citizens' Administration" for direct action, universal empowerment and personal integrity and responsibility.
Surf through our website at NeighborhoodParty.org or http://www.NBRparty.org . Brainstorm with us, help us build links and contacts, start a local chapter or a spin-off website and begin to help coordinate a new grassroots movement that acts locally but networks globally, and knows no limits.
On this Inauguration Day, when America celebrates its distraction with misdirected and misappropriated, massive but misconnected power, the Neighborhood Party also wants to celebrate its new website and our renewed effort to reacquaint American citizens with their own real power, political, cultural, economic and otherwise.
We have over 250 million new openings, but positions are filling fast; so declare your domain soon or watch someone else appoint themselves to run your life, and you know they'll never do as good a job as you...
Happy Inauguration Day... NeighborhoodParty.org 01/20/01
