Important: DC RAAB Update, Assembly Point Change

by Barricada Collective (barricadacollective [at] hotmail.com)
Franklin Square between I and K on 14th Street
NEW RAAB MEETING LOCATION:
FRANKLIN SQUARE, BETWEEN I AND K ON 14TH STREET
SPREAD THE WORD

For a variety of reasons, the assembly point for the Revolutionary Anti-Authoritarian Bloc has been changed. The principal meeting place for people to assemble is no longer 14th St. NW and Pennsylvania Avenue. It has now been changed to

Franklin Square between I and K on 14th Street

The time remains the same, from 9 30 to 10 am.

However, in order to err on the side of safety we have designated two alternate assembly points. The first is the original location of 14th Street NW and Pennsylvania Avenue, and the second is the MCI Center, located between 6th and 7th on F street.

This means that from 9 30 to 10 am those intending to participate in the RAAB should head first to Franklin Square. If we are not there then to 14th and Penn. If the bloc is still nowhere to be found, then the assembly point becomes the MCI Center from 10 to 10 30 am in order to give people enough time to arrive.

Obviously since there is not much time left between now and inauguration day we ask for the co-operation of all those who plan to participate in the bloc, or know of people who plan to participate, to help spread this new information as far as possible in order to ensure that everybody is able to join us.

Also, other very important information and suggestions...

-In order to facilitate our assembly and minimize unwanted attention we are again reminding people to do their best to dress in a manner making it possible to blend in. If you have them, your most elegant dark clothes are recommended (suits, v neck sweaters, etc.). Patches should never be worn in a black bloc, but this is even more so the case inauguration day.

-Not only is their a DC ordinance against the wearing of masks, but a bandanna is naturally much easier to justify than, for example, a ski mask. Since they are both essentially as effective, in order to spare yourself needless hassles, we suggest opting for the hood or wool cap with bandanna option if you choose to mask up.

-The legal hotline number to have on you in case of an emergency is now available thanks to the efforts of the people at the After Midnight Collective. The number is...
