The No Spray Action Network will host a public meeting Tuesday, Jan. l6, 7-9 p.m., at Summerfield School, 655 Willowside Rd., between Guerneville and Hall Roads, west of Santa Rosa.
This No Spray Action Network evening will share information and review possible action from the community to stop the Agricultural Commissioner's work plan for the forced spraying of pesticides in an attempt to halt the glassy-winged sharpshooter's threat to the increasing vineyard acreage.
Various speakers, featuring toxicologist Dr. Marc Lappe, former head of the State of California Hazards Assessment Program and of the Center for Ethics and Toxics, Sonoma Mayor Ken Brown, and local officials will join us to discuss health, private property concerns, and ways to oppose the spraying.
Seating is limited to 300; people are welcome to arrive after 6:30 to meet each other over refreshments.
