Led by the Green Party, citizens protest rate hikes at PUC hearings 01/02/01

Welcome to the first day of the revolution! Electirc utility ratepayers gathered at the State Building, 505 Van Ness today (01/02/01) to voice their opposition to proposed rate increases to bail pge out once again. A common theme of the speakers was public power and no bail out of pge with this problem. PGE is happy to hoard the profits when things go for them, and then want a bail out if they can figure out a loss. Real Video about 21 minutes.
