- To introduce the safe settings campaign, which is a set of guidelines that DanceSafe has put together as a list of tips for promoters to use to make their events safer and more comfortable for their attendees. Some examples are providing some access to free water, not overcrowding their venues, and setting up health/safety booths inside the event.

- To introduce the promoter packets, which is a compilation of information
and contacts provided by Bay Area DanceSafe for promoters to get to know our organization a little better. Some things in the packets are the safe
settings campaign, contacts to health/safety groups, and a record of fake ecstasy pills that Bay Area DanceSafe has tested at parties throughout
Northern California.

- Having guest speakers that can show the support that the rave scene has from other communities, such as political and academic groups or individuals.

- Respond to all the media attention that DanceSafe and the rave scene has
been getting, and to find a solution to fight inaccurate portrayals of our culture.

This event is free for all ages. But if you are not a UC Berkeley student or will not be attending with a UC Berkeley student, please email trancebaby79 [at] hotmail.com with your name and bring some form of ID to the rally so that we can put you on a guest list. And everyone, there is much more info and news to come, so please check our voiceline for updates (510.834.7500.Ext.103).
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
