San Franciscans Headed to J20 in DC

by salim (salim [at] mashriq.org)
coordinating SF participation in J20 in DC
Hello,
I and a couple others will be going to the counter-inauguration protests in DC. WIth the reactionary forces seizing the presidency we stand at a critical time of action and mobilization. Are we going to let reactionary seize more power. Will we stand idly by as the IMF/WTO/TABD/CEO's take over every aspect of our society.

This may be the issue that all progressives, liberals and libertarians can seize the day with. We must stand on the line against these reactionary forces that will seek to take over every aspect of our lives. There will also be a significant protest to stop the Death Machine of Capital Punishment.

Counter the reactionary forces. Go to DC on Jan. 20 and take the streets.

If you need housing in DC or travel information please contact salim [at] mashriq.org.

There are three major airports in the DC area: BWI has the cheapest tickets on Southwest airlines. However, you can fly into either New York city or Philadelphia and catch the Amtrak which will take four hours to DC Union Station at the foot of Capitol Hill.

see http://www.inaugurauction.org for info or http://www.iacenter.org.

Hey fellow activists,
I'm from New Jersey but I was just cruising some Indymedia sites across the country and noticed this forum on J20. I'm renting a van and taking about 15 people to D.C. to demonstrate against corporate amerikkka, the death machine, fascism, bureaucracy, plutocracy, etc etc.
Make signs, puppets, banners and bring as many openminded and committed people as possible and let's show our opposition to the imperialists we call "republicrats" and TAKE THE STREETS BACK!!
Everybody be safe and bring protective gear!

"We are protesting the inauguration of a president elected through an exclusionary political system that is more beholden to corporate interests than the people. The Justice Action Movement (JAM) is a unified multi-issue coalition advocating a political system that gives each person full representation and justice. This historic election exposes the fundamental problems of the US electoral process. We call on all people to join the global movement for political, social, and economic justice."
