Bicyclist Murdered/Protest for Justice

by Irate (iratemix [at] hotmail.com)
On the evening of Nov. 17 a truck allegedly driven by Reuben Espinoza ran
>over and killed bicyclist Chris Robertson.
Please join us at a rally to
demand the killer be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law at the
Hall of Justice (850 Bryant) this Friday, December 1st from noon-1pm.

MURDER IS NO ACCIDENT
The District Attorney's office is in the process of deciding what charges
to file against the driver who ran over and killed Chris Robertson, in an
apparent fit of road rage, on Nov. 17th.. Please join us at a rally to
demand the killer be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law at the
Hall of Justice (850 Bryant) this Friday, December 1st from noon-1pm. Far
too often bicyclists are threatened and menaced by drivers who are too
important/busy/angry/late/ignorant to share the road. It's totally
unacceptable and we won't let Chris's death be in vain. Contact the D.A.s
office yourself at 553-9530 to demand serious charges be brought up against
the driver (who will be arraigned on Friday as well) and write Letters to
the Editor of the Chronicle & Examiner, mailto:chronletters [at] sfgate.com and
mailto:letters [at] examiner.com (letters should be under 150 words and include
your name, address and telephone number).

We're also taking this opportunity to urge city officials to launch a
citywide "Driver Awareness Campaign." Call or email the Mayor's Office and
the Dept. of Parking & Traffic and urge them to support this important and
clearly needed safety effort:
CALL: 554-5965 (Mayor's Office of Legislative Affairs)
OR EMAIL: mailto:willie_brown [at] ci.sf.ca.us

OR EMAIL: mailto:willie_brown [at] ci.sf.ca.us
&
CALL: 554-9835 (Fred Hamdun, Director, Dept. of Parking & Traffic)
OR EMAIL: mailto:fred_hamdun [at] ci.sf.ca.us
