Voter registration problems
Some people haven't been able to register to vote in SF during the last few months. "It's our mistake" says the Elections Dept. Call them to make sure they fix your registration records.
The San Francisco Elections Dept has had some "trouble" getting everyone registered. I sent my form in September and never heard anything back. I called the Elections Dept. and was told I hadn't registered until Oct 17th - too late to vote.
If you haven't received your voter registration in the mail, you can call voter services at (415) 554-4411 or 554-4375. One of their nice employees will make sure that your registration was postmarked before Oct 10th and then correct your computerized record, allowing you to vote on Nov 7th.
Since the rosters have already been printed, you will have to go to your polling place as a "provisional voter". Bring a photo ID and 2 proofs of address (phone bill, etc.).
