My wife and I were in San Francisco last week and saw some of the protests and were very impressed at the way everyone was able to show their support for each other without being distructive. Can you tell me more about why you were protesting the NAB?

Sure, I can tell you why were protesting the NAB. One big
reason is the so-called "Radio Broadcast Preservation Act"
S2068 (in front of the Senate as we speak, a ham-handed attempt to overturn the recent FCC legalization of low power
FM or microradio stations. In-Band-On-Channel - the NAB
plan to retain 100% of the new digital spectrum for the
existing big broadcasters. Constant lobbying by the NAB for
the elimination of public service requirements for broadcasters. Constant lobbying by the NAB to end limitations on the cross-ownership of media outlets. And
giving their "radio personality" wards to the MC's of hate
radio - Dr Laura, Limbaugh, Paul Harvey etc... Those are
just a few of the reasons :)
Free the airwaves from corporate control and end media monopolies!
