this looks quite intersting. How is it done? do the police put up any obstacle to setting up the tripod? what prevent's them from taking it down? would the person dangling at the top be injured if the cops took it down while he or she is still up there? how fast is the set-up? how many people needed and how quickly can it be done?

it's set up in a matter of seconds if done right.
the person ties him/her self to the top, so if it goes down the person is hurt. I think often the person gets hurt anyway. In my opinion this is no the brightest tactic, but then again in my opinion street parties are not the best way to make a difference.

I have complete video of the tripod being set up and the person climbing to the top and establishing himself. I also happened to be in the right place at the right time to video tape him climbimg down.
