Radio Trade Sheet titled M Street Daily reports on the NAB Protests in San Francisco.
It's the usual corporate spin folks but here it is anyway.
The following is from a radio trade sheet titled M Street Daily and is delivered to commercial radio stations daily via fax. The M Street's point of view is identical to the NAB.

The article:

One group head made hotel reservations under an assuemd name because of protests at the NAB.
We won't use his real name, either, but the threat of protests M Street mentioned months ago was taken very, very seriously by the NAB and the San Francisco police.
Low Power FM protestors and police were active outside the Moscone Convention Center every single day. A women crashed FCC Commissioner Harold Furchtgott-Roth's Friday morning session and was hauled out. Some protestors chained themselves together in the lobby of the convention center later on Friday. 400 to 500
LPFM supporters attended a live concert near the San Francisco Hilton while the Marconi Awards were going on Saturday night. And security guards posted at the doors of the Hilton weren't allowing anybody in after the Marconis unless they could show a room key. And all week, security guards were doing more badge-checking than we've ever seen at an NAB Radio Show. In the final analysis, the "opposition" never got violent, and seemed unfocused in its objectives.

The above appearing the Monday September 25 th edition of the daily radio trade sheet M Street.

And while we remained "unfocused" the winner of the Network/Syndicated Personality Marconi Award was none other than Rush Limbaugh.
And the Legendary Station Marconi Award goes to WEBN of Cincinnati, of course owned by Clear Channel
