women against NAB

by Ann Simonton (mwatch [at] cruzio.com)
Why protest NAB? Your organization says it stereotypes youth and people of color--but why not WOMEN?
Howard Stern a big name at NAB had a show on recently where a young woman whith no shirt on agreed to be on all fours with a lease around her neck and eat dog food out of a dog bowl next to a real dog to see who wins. If this were done to a Jewish person or a person of color would all the fully clothed men who run the technical end of Stern just do their job and film this garbage? Why doesn't INDY media recognize this as hate propaganda and at the very least, include this hatred in your list of reasons to protest? Protestors should show up with dog food for Stern to eat. Other national woman-hating heros like Imus and Leykis spend prime time spewing their hate of those bitches called women. Wake-up Indy media this problem needs to be addressed!!!

I think your frustration and disgust about images and depictions of women in mainstream media is being misdirected towards indy media. The goal of the IMC at the NAB Convention is to provide a means to distribute information about the practices and policies of the NAB (i.e. the corporate interests that they represent. So rather than point the finger at the IMC, post articles, photos, interviews, etc. on the site and come to the event tomorrow at 6PM at Union Square during the Marconi Awards.
