Everybody should watch this video because it will never
be broadcast on any status-quo worshipping stinking NAB
TV station. This is a video of the PIGS beating and choking
an ATTORNEY trying to go into the county clerks office to
arrange to see one of his arrested FREE RADIO clients.

I cannot say what I would like to see happen to these stinking
lousy rotten PIG BASTARDS and their GOD the NAB.

Our staff attorney was also arrested this morning along with a female lawyer. I just got word both were charged with misdemeanor battery on a police officer, and released on their own recognizance, but there was some concern that there was still one attorney being held.

When he gets to the office, I'll get a short interview and post it.

Of course y'all will give me shit for thinking this way, but come on...

Y' know I'm as down as the next guy, and also believe that the NAB is a bunch of corporate fuddy duddies. I disagree with the political situation and whole heartedly dedicate my time to change the status quo.

But I must add that the video just exemplifies why I avoid rabble rousing B.S sessions like the one pictured.

First off your lawyer looks like "a dirty hippie". Lawyers must deal with Judges, Cops and other "authority figures" , and have an obligation to represent their clients and get the best deal for them, not make it worse. If that was my lawyer acting like that, you can bet I'd be checking out the yellow pages for a new one by now. This guy's got a foul mouth and uses far more threatening language than any cop I've ever been in contact with. I've been stomped by cops too, and spent more days in jail for petty B.S than I care to admit, but never do I "volunteer" to be arrested. What a fucking putz move, especially for a lawyer...

A lot of good it does anybody to be behind bars. Maybe your lawyer was hungry for some 850 chow?

Yes, the police are violent uniformed thigs...is your lawyer challenging them in any meaningful way, or is he just playing into their fascist fantasies and giving them an excuse to beat on him?

I wonder if your lawyer buddy is the type of guy who would run up and down market street burning trash barrels at demos, screaming at passerbys ... as if breathing acrid smoke and alienating the public we need to reach out to was a revolutionary act that benefits us all...

the scariest part of the video is the chorus of zombies chanting in unison, like some brainwashed cult ...

Jesus, if that's the best y'all can do... Whay bother?

It is bullshit that a lawyer can not see his client, I don't care if they just killed the president. However, I think he put his hands on a police officer at the door. Even placing your finger on an officer is labeled as assault. Good footage however!

The above poster makes a very good point about actions and appearance.

Up until recently I myself had very long hair, a full beard, and generally wore generic-jeans and a ratty old trenchcoat that I've had an affectation for long before Columbine made them 'an instrument of crime'.

You have the right to be who you want, and to dress how you will, but the fact is people base more of their opinion on appearance and style than anytime since the middle ages. Lawyers are believed to be poker-faced weasels by the public. A ranting screaming lawyer (particularly one who couldn't appear as a swimsuit model) is either going to have his credentials doubted, or have his skill questioned.

After seeing so many people I empathize with and believe in get arrested for the crime of being where they were and looking like they did at the RNC, I tried a little something out. After eight years, I cut my hair. A trim, professional cut. I scraped up some medical insurance and got new glasses, and soon after that a couple suits.

Now the police can't even tell... They can't see that there's one of those darn hippy radical anti-free trade types in their midsts. I wave my 'Debate Nader' sign, and I join in the chants, and when the police come through they ask if I 'need any help getting through, sir'.

Sir! Ha!

I'm telling you guys, you'll laugh so hard you can't quit. They just don't get it, when we don't look and act like the stereotype they expect.

Breaking news ...

we have exclusive footage of want appears to be a very large
angery man who is yelling at and threatening
a peace officer...

the man is involved is some dispute or protest...

the man continuse to yell and theaten officers...

and it looks like the men is now rushing and
pushing at the officer....who is showing great restraint...

but now officers are placing this angery disturbed man
under arrest... it appears as if he is.. resiting... he is now under arrest.... wants.. that his... followers are chanting something... i cant quiet make it out
and the officers must be 5 or 6 useing great restraint
are leading him away...
.. well thats was some dramatic footage... yes indeed
lets hope he gets the help he needs
... well lets now cut away for the sports...
but first this message

prodaganda
is owr friend some one to count on
not A RED LIE to fear reject
prodaganda can be fun
and funky dark and tragic
sympathetic and heroic victories THE TRUTH produced
or it can be shit,
lies, lies ,goddam fucking lies of our enemys
dig it

BUT The truth is the big lawyer gets arrested is a piss poor prodaganda film.

It looks set up and feels like your whiching a drunk friend
make a fool of him self, and its on tape .
It could also easily be coupted
by local media or others? to discredit his legal (owr) compliant... the guy is unsympathetic he is rightest
and has some good lines...but just feels all wrong on tape.

The clip has no prodaganda value provides no education or inspiration did not provoke the state ( coppers )
looks and sounds like, want most of america. hates about protests. big loud and pushy

He would of been better if he had used his outrage in
a passive manner being big he should have made him self
small being strong he should of been weak
if he had sat down and and done any passive protest
then we would of had something.. maybe the cop would of
gotten pissed off at him for just being passive then we would HAD A prodaganda clip

peaceful lawyer gets beaten
gased while lawfully
trying to see his client
thats dramatic footage

Contrast "the big attorney gets arrested" with the other, clip of 2 attorneys being arrested the first attorney articulated her point very well so we are educated. She is peacefully she is there lawfully,so we are sympathetic and was illegally prevented from seeing her clients, injustice exposesd and documented for all to see
she then walks foward with her hands backhind her back a passive yet defient act SO WE are inspired by her act of courage this clip is termendous...education for the non-
activest insperation for new or commited activist and
injustices exposesd and documented
the sec, attorney did not articulete his position but
follows peacefully.

as we all learn to use this new medium as a protest tool
lets work to serve a purpose "higher" then DV confrontation and drama we need to portray committed activest at there best,
teach the non activest, inspire new activest expose and document the injustices of the world, and crate sympathy in the general public

The best "prodaganda"is truth the the rest is good editing....

oh, well shit yet again another IMC message board of bitter, schismatic pessimism.

why the hell should anyone ever have to worry about how they look and act in a situation like this? It shouldn't make a damn difference, why dress or act a certain way to get around someone else's faulty predjudice?

for christ's sake people, this lawyer doesn't act like this whenever he confronts cops. this day was probably the first time he had to deal w/ stubborn, robotic cops physically preventing him from seeing a client, THAT is probably why he was so pissed, wouldn't you be? This is outrageous, I hope these cops get sued so bad.

I generally do not trust cops anymore. I've witnessed how they teargassed tens of thousands of innocent adults/kids at WTO protest, I know how they've been treating arrested protesters at mass actions ever since, I know they are pissed as hell at all protesters, are willing to set up anyone they have an interest in detaining. There are so many other horrible, untold tales of how they've treated minorities and the poor of this country, it's a good thing that finally, even middle class white kids like myself are getting a dose of the same police brutality reality.

This makes sense to me, lots of people who become cops do so because they want the role of physically keeping people in line and having the power to severely screw over anyone they dispise.

my god, tackling a rightfully pissed lawyer for touching a cop? wake up people, we've got to make the October 22nd (national day of protest against police brutality) bigger than ever, by now we have to realize--and make others realize-- that this problem is out of control.

Unfortunatly, this type of action is increasingly more and more the status quo. I cant believe, first of all, that the American public knows about this type of opression but does nothing about it, And secondly that Most(Americans)are on the side of law enforcement after they see this stuff spun by the corporate media. What can be said? It is almost a police state! This just emphasizes the need for alternative sources of news. "Micradio" is the only way to get the word out regarding the oppression that activists are confronted with on a daily basis. I'm afraid that if the proposed low frequency FM radio stations aren't allowed to come in to being, this country will explode under the pressuer. The people need a voice! "Micradio" is that voice! LET IT BE HEARD!!! or (suffer the concequences)

Under our Const. an atty does not have the rt. to visit his client while the client is under investigation and has not been charged! As far as the atty's action's of cursing at a cop who is doing his job and attempting to enter an area he was prohibited from entering by a cop - not a bright move by anyone, let alone an atty! Do u know why he was prohibited from going to the clerk's office, presumably in a public building, during normal hours of operation?
