The workers at the Marriott on 4th St. in San Francisco, near Moscone Center where the NAB Convention is being held, are not on strike. The Hotel Employees Restaurant Employees (HERE) Local 2 announced its boycott of this property on Labor Day and this photo represents an informational picket line. The workers are fighting for a first time contract. This is the first Marriott hotel to be organized through a bottom-up organizing drive. It would have been great if the corporate whores of the NAB were staying at the Marriott, but they are at the Hilton, a union hotel with no pending labor dispute. Nevertheless, the practices of the NAB definitely effect the lives of working people. Check out the coverage of the "NAB, Union Busting, Censorship & Labor" event happening tonight!
