Time to Replace Rep Nancy Pelosi & the Demo-Repubs
The excellent article by Justin Raimondo on his website, http://www.antiwar.com, "Nancy Pelosi: The Shame of San Francisco" is a must read for all who realize her Democratic-Republican party cannot represent us. Please vote for a Green or Peace & Freedom Party candidate who runs against her. Her warmongering, her support of anything Israel does, her support of the local Democratic Party machine, including all the anti-rent control mayoral candidates, demonstrates the bankruptcy of her capitalist party. Enjoy the article and stop voting for the Democrat-Republicans.
Nancy Pelosi: The Shame of San Francisco
Profiles in cowardice:
"A close ally, Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi, was anxious to open a second axis of attack on Iraq—and was aware of his growing antagonism toward the war. The two met and agreed that he would make his case in private to the party conference. After that, on his own, he would introduce a resolution calling for withdrawal of troops from Iraq 'at the earliest practicable date.' Pelosi and the other liberals would keep their distance, while their own Marine charged up the Hill."
In spite of the pro-Pelosi spin given by Newsweek, this contemptible cowardice on the Democratic House leader's part makes me ashamed to be a San Franciscan. While Pelosi -- who shows up to constituent meetings in $10,000 outfits, bedecked in jewels like some Oriental potentate -- keeps her distance, she vicariously gets to enjoy the embarrassment of the Bushies, as she scotches any vote on Murtha's pro-withdrawal resolution in the House Democratic caucus.
Aside from that, she has yet to apologize to her constituents for voting to endorse the invasion of Iraq. As Stephen Zunes, a professor of political science at the University of San Francisco, points out:
"The day the war broke out in March, San Francisco’s downtown business district was shut down by thousands of anti-war protesters in a spontaneous act of massive civil disobedience. In response, Pelosi denounced the protesters and rushed to the defense of President George W. Bush, voting in favor of a resolution declaring the House of Representatives’ 'unequivocal support and appreciation to the president …for his firm leadership and decisive action.' She personally pressed a number of skeptical Democratic lawmakers to support the resolution as well."
When oh when will the City by the Bay wake up and demand some answers from their Congresswoman?
Meanwhile, this immoral and disgusting war goes on, and we have to continue living in a Bizarro World where phosphorous isn't a chemical weapon -- except when it is.

This is the question that Tim Russert asked Howard Dean, Chairman of the Democratic National Committee, on Meet the Press recently. Mr. Dean responded that the Democrats do not control the House, the Senate or the White House and that, "right now it's not our job to give out specifics.it's our job to stop thiscorrupt and incompetent administration from doing more damage to America." He added that the Democrats had "plenty of time to show Americans what our agenda is and we will long before the '06 elections".
This is Mr. Dean strapped to the mast by his superiors in the Congress, where fear of the Republicans supercedes the Democrats' loathing of them. When their most senior member on the House military appropriations committee, Rep. John Murtha (D-PA), a double-decorated Vietnam veteran and their most untouchable member by the Republican smear machine, came out last week for "immediate withdrawal" (meaning over six months) of U.S. soldiers from Iraq, the Democratic Party caucus did not come out in support of his position. This is the case even though most Democrats privately agree with Rep. Murtha, as does a growing majority of the American people.
READ THE REST AT COUNTERPUNCH:
a. He had his soldiers fire on US aircraft enforcing the no-fire zone.
b. He did not demonstrate his elimination of WMD to inspectors, as required by the terms of the cease fire agreement, rather delayed, obstructed, and obfuscated the effort to certify that Iraq was free of such weapons.
2. Saddam Husayne supported terrorists.
a. He provided facilities that trained terrorists in taking over aircraft an aircraft fuselage at Salman Pac.
b. He paid a bounty to the families of terrorists. That these terrorists killed Jews does not mean he would not have killed US citizens.
3. Saddam Husayne had frequent contact with Al Queda. This remains true, even if the 9-11 commision didn't find any OPERATIONAL links.
4. The first attempt to destroy the WTC was led by Iraqi intelligence, using passports stolen from Kuwaitt during Iraqi occupation.
5. Saddam Husayne had directed that an attempt be made to kill a former US President.
6. Saddam Husayne had used chemical weapons (WMD!) against noncombatant Kurds.
The only pity is that he was such a coward that he didn't shoot at the US soldiers who cornered and caught him. Then he would be out of our misery.
I bet you are products of the American public school system.
No-no, none of that matters because we're fully human and they're just bacteria.
I'd love to see them come over here and kill every single self-centered asshole who thinks the way you do. It would be America's finest hour ever. In fact if there were such a thing as genuine American heroes they'd take this up on their own.
There, that oughtta send you contemptible cowards into a conniption!
Try reading Mark Twain's book Innocents Abroad. You would see that when he visited, Jews were there. The land was nearly vacant, with a few religious types surviving off the touristsand pilgrims. I always thought of Twain as a tourist, not a pilgrim.
From the founding of Israel to 1967, the major source of Israel's military was France. Even the Sherman tanks came from old WWII tanks that had been given to France.
By comparison: in 42 years Pakistan has garnered 8 patents. You just don't expect too much from people who look for inspiration to an illiterate child molester.
