Veterans for Peace Hold All-Day J20 Vigil
Member of Veterans for Peace hold all-day vigil January 20, 2005 in protest of Bush inauguration.
Veterans Speaker Alliance and Veterans for Peace, San Francisco Chapter 69, held an all-day vigil January 20, 2005 in protest of Coronation Day. For nearly ten-hours, the names of Iraqis and US troops killed in the current unjust war and occupation were read aloud. After starting out at Montgomery BART during the morning commute, the vigil moved to the steps of City Hall and continued until the "Stop the War! Fight the Right!" protest in the evening. This action was part of a national call from Veterans for Peace to hold "Arlington Everywhere" events all over the country.
