Inauguration Protests planned in DC

Thousands of people plan to converge to protest the second inauguration of Bush and protest war and demand a better world. About an inch of snow has fallen and more is on the way but excited activists continue to pour into town. Many groups are calling for participation in a huge array of events.
There is a great convergence center up and running. Mostly young and militant activists are cooking, meeting, making art orienting all sorts of folks stopping in and sending out groups to flier the city.
There have been benifit shows every night and there are several a night for the next few days. There is funk, punk, hip hop, folk and many other styles planned.
Today there is a prayer vigil and meditation and an exhibit.
Tomorrow is the big day of the inauguration. At 7:30 there is Critical Mass I bike ride. At 9:00 the DC Anti-War Coalition has a mass march planned and ther e are several feeder marches. The march will end in front of the Whitehouse with time to get to the Inauguration Parade route. At 10:30 Billionaires For Bush will be holding an auction to sell off Social Security and the Arctic Wildlife Refuge. Anarchists will gather for a march at 12:30. ANSWER is planning a mass convergence along the route and has thier own bleachers for protestors to great Bush as he passes, they hope for 10,000 people. Another group Turn Your Back on Bush will do just that as he passes. There will be futher reconvergences for marches and another Critical Mass ride. In the evening there are several Balls and many concerts, a spoken word show and films.
On the 21st there is a march on the Neocons and the Really Free Market and other events.
On the 22 there is a Roe vs. Wade (anniversary) Rally at the Supreme Court.
