STUDENT WALKOUTS on Jan. 20th!

by J20 Walkout! (j20walkout [at] riseup.net)
There will be massive student walkouts on January 20th, the day Bush is re-inaugurated.
We are calling for Metro (and world) wide student walkouts to protest the Inauguration on January 20th. We call upon fellow students and youths to organize, agitate, and walkout!

*Walk against the cuts in public funding of our schools and libraries!
*Walk against their recruiting of our friends and peers to die in wars!
*Walk against the wars at home that keep people poor and homeless!

SOME TIPS FOR ORGANIZING:
1. Pass the idea of a walkout to friends and students in your school and discuss your ideas and plans.

2. Setup a meeting with students from other schools and try to form a network. Email lists and phone lists are a start.

3. Get in touch with people organizing other events on J20. Make plans with your student group of where your walkout should go and what issues to focus on.

4. Spread the word to lots of students! Hand out flyers, talk it up, hang posters, etc

5. Decide, based on the nature of your school, if you want administration included in your plans or not. It could make or break your walkout in some cases.

6. See the J20 website (coming soon) to contact other students in your area and post updates.

The rest is in your hands!
