“Charles Hurwitz, the CEO of MAXXAM, and his entourage of corporate criminals must recognize that the damage they are inflicting on our environment is much bigger than their profit margins.”

SACRED presents the following four requests in regard’s to MAXXAM’s management of the forests:
1) Stop cutting old-growth trees.
2)Stop clear-cutting practices.
3)Stop logging on steep and unstable slopes.
4) Stop using herbicides.
Houston based corporation MAXXAM and its subsidiary, Pacific Lumber have been charged with environmentally devastating practices, including logging at 2-3 times the rate of re-growth, clear-cutting and dumping a myriad of toxic herbicides onto California soil.
