Buy Nothing Day – Buy Union Day
With the Rev. Billy (Bill Talen) & the
The Stop Shopping Gospel Choir

Reverend Billy and The Amazing Handmade Stop Shopping Gospel Choir return to celebrate the Holidays by NOT SHOPPING . Reverend Billy catalyzes
a whole new value system and unleashed a torrent of heretofore unknown holiday logic. Fresh from his arrest on 5th Ave at this year’s Buy Nothing
Day Parade, today’s Sermon from the Reverend Billy has to do with seeking peace by backing away and economic justice by looking at the history of
the product.

Lou Plummer, Military Families Speak Out
Plummer is a former member of the North Carolina National Guard and a member of Military Families Speak Out. His son Drew, who has served in the
Navy since 2001, has spoken out against the War. He was charged by the Navy for making “disloyal statements”.
Military Families Speak Out is an organization of people who are opposed to war in Iraq and who have relatives or loved ones in the military. As people with
family members and loved ones in the military, they have both a special need and a unique role to play in speaking out against the war in Iraq. It is their loved ones who are, or who have been, or will be on the battlefront. It is their loved ones who
are risking injury and death. It is their loved ones who are returning scarred from their experiences. It is their loved ones who will have to live with the injuries and
deaths among innocent Iraqi civilians.
