RedRed, for those who are not familiar, is a latina, Portland womyn who is facing a felony and an absurd sentence of 5yrs on the false charge that she broke a window of the California state building. During the WTO/USDA protests in Sacramento, law enforcement claims that the window was broken on Sunday, when she was arrested. The problem with their story is that the window in question was not broken until 2 days after she was taken into custody for posession of a gas mask. Now unless our dear friend has developed amazing telepathic powers, these claims are completely preposterous! This is an overt attempt at silencing her strong, dissenting voice. It is apparent that they see in her the qualities of a bold and worthy foe to their oppressive system. They shamelessly spin a web of lies to lock her away in an attempt to suppress her passion. Even corporate media could not avoid reporting the deceit. Over the local news it was aired, the window in question was yet unbroken, the very next day after she was in custody! They're tampering with evidence and intimidating witnesses. Judging by their conspicuously devious behavior, it appears that they think she is alone and forgotten now that everyone has gone home many miles away. This is now the time for us rise up like a tidal wave and flood the D.A.'s office with our passion. Let our solidarity be screamed from the roof-tops until RedRed is free from their clutches! With our combined voices pummeling the D.A. and it's fraudulent case, the state doesn't stand a chance against our unity!
RedRed has asked that we contact the Sacramento DA and demand that the charges be dropped
