SF Chronicle Reporter Shows Bias, Car Gets Attacked

by oakland raiders report
Information about an unidentified San Francisco Chronicle reporter.
This is just an interesting thing that happened during the Oakland Radiers riots.

Two reporters who were together, one who identified as being from the San Francisco Chronicle, and another. The one who didn't identify himself was talking loudly on his cellfone and talking about how he was concerned/afraid to be by what was going on.

He said that because he and his coworker are white, he was advising his coworker to "stay behind the police" and dont go near the crowd.

When he was told by bystanders that race had nothing to do with it and that there were black people, Mexican people, white people and Asian people in the crowd, and they were all getting along just fine, he insisted that anyone who was white not go into the crowds and stay far behind the teargas-launching police.

When further pressed on the matter, he started calling people "whiteboy" and challenging bystanders to go into the crowd. The multiethnic crowd of about 10 people told him that they had been in the crowd/riot, they were going back, and he was acting racist by saying that no white people could go there.

At this point, the reporter became extremely agitated and started to go into his car. He claimed that his wife was black and that he knew "what was up."

As he continued to yell at the group of people and they began to drive away, several people through rocks at their car.

The people who talked afterwards said that this kind of racist and "rich person's" reporting was exactly what was wrong with the media. They also said that patterns of corruption in the police force and police aggressiveness against poor or black/mexican people were to blame for the violence that occurred, which was mostly some property destruction and a lot of violence against humans committed by the police.

This reporter (presumed to be working for the SF Chronicle, his partner was) should have the guts to come forth and make his statements in public. People should know what kind of twisted thinking goes into the biased reporting done by the Chron.
