reclaim a job? you are kidding, yes? i already have a job, and don't need another, thanks. (tho' i'm always accepting donations from anyone who wants to keep me out of a job...)

buzz buzz
by Joe Hill, has a job
"Get a Job..." don't you love that over-simplified retort to anyone or anything that is doing something besides sitting on the sidelines of politics and letting shadow-governments do everything. I suppose that the British Loyalists in the American colonies were full of similar tripe. Still, it is sad to see how members of the working class sit on the sidelines and blurt out these wrote responses anytime they see other workers getting civicly involved. Oh well, maybe "angry" will grow up a little, or stay loyal to the "British East India Company" as it were, and risk being exposed as a dupe of the global corporate oligarchy. Maybe he or she will read some history and discover what a struggle working class people went through to secure an 8-hour work day ... so, he or she can enjoy his/her job and have the energy to blurt out stupid swill from the sidelines. All of us must remember that hardly anything we take for granted today came about because of people who took direct action and made things a little uncomfortable for the status quo ... women's suffrage, independence from the British, the end of formal slavery - all this involved confrontational events and people willing to sacrifice their safety and convenience. Those who struggled then, as now, are never highly thought of by the lamo's that are content to sit around and accept what the ruling class has doled out to them.

But, on to better subjects ... there are other May Day events - on April 28 ....

MAY DAY SORIEE
