Another World Is Possible. Richmond 11/10/01

by Dab Mattson (handyman [at] california.com)
On November 11, 2001, as the the WTO was meeting in fear in the authoritarian state of Quatar, about 1000 people gathered in Richmond, California to protest the WTO and call attention to both the local and global effects of Chevrons activity. This rally march and rally went on for nearly four hours without incident. Near the end a serious confrontation between police and demonstrators happened and 6-8 people were arrested. This fifteen minute video is mostly the Art and Revolution performance at the Richmond Bart Station. A couple minutes at the ends shows a bit of the arrest scene.
