Oakland Community: OPD Is Rotten to Its Core and Libby’s Got to Go (audio)
On the morning of June 21, a number of Oakland community organizations came together in front of Oakland police headquarters to issue a set of demands in response to the ever-growing list of OPD crimes and cover-ups which have been exposed recently. The Anti Police-Terror Project and allies issued four demands: community-controlled policing; the defunding of OPD and investment in the community; the child sexual exploitation scandal be addressed in a meaningful way; and the resignation of May...

Bravo to the courageous war protestors!
Memorial Day should be a great day to pay tribute to all of wars' victims. It would be even more fitting to also memorialize history's often forgotten heroes of peaceful protestors to the insanity of war. Yes, much Aloha to all the beautiful & dedicated Peace Activists!

Commemoration held of 1966 Blockade of Napalm bombs shipped to Vietnam from Alviso, CA.
We commemorate, fifty years later, four empathetic women who courageously chose to stand up to the overwhelming war-machine to block the loading of napalm bombs, (100 million tons of Napalm bombs were stored and shipped from the tiny town of Alviso) to be sent to Vietnam. The four women were arrested, jailed briefly, and the jellied gasoline bombs made it across our planet's largest ocean to burn our nation's "communist enemies" to what must be the most grotesque human-created hell on earth.

Planning and Doing of Aggressive War is the Supreme International Crime on Earth!!
NUREMBURG TRIALS; (1945-46) The U.S. Judge who chaired the trials, Robert H. Jackson, wrote into International Law that the planning and doing of Aggressive War is the Supreme International Crime on the Planet Earth, as it causes all other crimes high, low, big, and small. Here is how he approx. says that...."War is essentially an evil thing; Aggressive War differs from ordinary war crimes; in that it accumulates on to itself the evil of the whole. This Supreme International Law is signed on to the U.S. constitution which says that all International treaties signed on to the U.S. constitution are to be regarded as the supreme law of the land. Further on he says that it is the supreme international crime whether Germany does it or the U.S.A. does it. Just in passing the U.S. War of Aggression against Vietnam and largely against the Indo-Chinese Peoples was done in spite of all the countries of the area and around the world signing the Geneva Agreements which recognized that at the battle of Dien-Bien Phu 1954 Vietnam had won the right to reunify its country by holding elections in 1956. It designated that the partition of Vietnam at the 38th parallel was a temporary demarcation line to allow the French troops to demarcate through the south of Vietnam while allowing the Vietnamese fighters from the South to go to the north, as a way to separate the two sides till the 1956 elections for unity could take place. Truth be told all the countries of Indo-China signed on to these agreements and so did France and the Peoples Republic of Chj-ina. The only big nation that would not sign was the U.S.A. At that point and onward the U.S.A. began subverting the Geneva Agreements and Eisenhower began sending military advisors to the South in an effort to stop the 1956 reunification vote won by the entire Vietnamese peoples liberation fight for an independent and united Vietnam. In the French Imperial troops leaving there was to their shame German Mercenaries who the French foreign Legion recruited to fight against Vietnamese independence and freedom. These German Troops were from the defeated troops of the third Reich and were paid handsomely by the U.S. Eisenhower Government of the U.S.A. who paid eighty percent of the costs to the French Government to fight against communist democracy as they had financed afforhand the Hitler Regime to attach the Soviet Union and destroy the workers state in Russia. The four women that fought against the Napalm as part of the peoples democracy worldwide that made the goal of victory such as reads the anti-fascist covenants that we form the charter of the united nations for the purpose of making war just a long distant memory for the coming generations. Too bad the Governments of the U.S.A since 1945 have been betraying the liberation side that Aggressive war is illegal as any nations foreign policy. End aggressive war and its manufactury as it is ruining the ecological balances of the organic web-of-life of the planet earth. Workers of the world unite!! Re-tool to renewable energy sources such as wind, tidal, and solar power which tranforms to electricity and is more power than all fossil fuels combined. You yet have a world to win!!

Philippines: No context will ever justify murder of journalists - Akbayan
Press freedom is a baseline principle of good governance, not a moving target that adjusts to the whims and caprices of those in power. It plays a crucial role in fiscalizing and speaking truth to power, and that Constitutionally-guaranteed right must be protected.

The Californian reports: The Democratic presidential front-runner will be at Hartnell College from Noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday in Building G -- the auxiliary gym -- to try and pull in more supporters, said Shawn Bagley, a member of the Democratic State Central Committee of California of the California Democratic Party. The Clintons are in California going after votes including the Hispanic vote, which is critical in a state where the majority of the population is now Hispanic/Latino.

Hillary does not support equal pay or gender equality at her foundation
I am wondering why "our" media is not informing us about another of Hillary's hypocrisies - Clinton Foundation Pays Male Execs 38% More Than ... dailycaller.com/2016/04/12/pay-gap-alert-clinton "Male executives at the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation earn 38 percent more than women executives, according to a Daily Caller News Foundation review of the foundation’s latest IRS tax filings. The foundation’s 2013 IRS form 990 reveals that nearly three times as many men as women occupy the executive suites at the Little Rock, Arkansas-based foundation. . . The foundation’s highest paid executive is Frederick Post, director of “sponsor and marketing,” who has built the foundation’s assets to $247 million. He received $484,000 in annual compensation. The highest paid woman is CEO Virginia Ehrlich. Her pay is only $201,000, less than half that of Post’s. The second-highest paid male is long-time Clinton associate Bruce Lindsay, who received $395,000 in annual compensation. All eight male foundation execs earn $200,000 or more. Only one woman earned $200,000, while Stephanie Streett, its executive director, received a paltry $169,000. Altogether, eight executives are men in the executive suites compared to three women, according to the foundation’s filing. . ." response to Lady V
According to my memory of the Clinton White House years, the Clinton Senate years, and her work as Sec. of State, this list of Hillary's actions and advocacy is very accurate. Perhaps you could be more specific on the "facts" you disagree w/ and provide some links that would support your opinion. By the way, Politifact may claim to be unbiased but a quick search will show many sites and articles questioning that self-definition. I'm grateful to whomever put this list and other info together. I will share it w/ others. HILLARY for PRISON!!!

The blood of Honduras is on Hillary's hands
she was begged by congress to stop supporting oligarch and sweatshop entrepreneur Miguel Facusse' - he passed away last year at the age of 90, but it is his huge family that has rolled back land reform and benefits most from the US taxpayer dollars funneled there since 1982, as shown in my introduction to this recent report from George Washington University. there's also a copy on indybay in the global section

I want women in government- but NOT another white consort to white male priviledge
As a white female of senior citizen status I have waited since the 1970's to enjoy rights equal to men. We still are not there. The facts of this are clearly substantiated on a daily basis. I want/wanted a female president but it is not Hillary Clinton. Alas, for her & us, she prefers war over peace. She has a record of supporting the mostly male financial elites over the trampled poor woman. In her own Clinton foundation neither she, nor Bill nor their now elite daughter Chelsea have managed to implement any of her recent campaign statements concerning equal pay for women. Despite the immense privileges & power NONE of the well educated Clinton's have utilized the foundation they themselves developed. If Hillary really believes in equal pay for woman why hasn't she ensured this for women working for the "Bill, Hillary, & Chelsea Clinton Foundation"? Instead they misused a true & simple opportunity - in real time & right now - to implement real changes for the female gender. Hence, there has been NO improvement to "our" needed & OVERDUE changes to gender, race, & pay equity for females in the allegedly democratic USA. I wonder - why none of these 'powerful' elites could accomplish these changes at their own foundation? The plethora of facts provide the actual evidence that neither Hillary nor her daughter Chelsea have used their prodigious celebrity & financial status to uplift women. It's one thing to be well paid to give a nice speech - as both have done. . . But what about REAL action? It is the trite & over used political jargon instead of actual change that I object to. Jargon used by both men & women. If Hillary can't manage to improve their antiquated prejudicial thinking in her own foundation there's no way she could do this as "president". This is another example of a white woman who got her "goodies" for her & her daughter & doesn't really give a flip about other women.
