Pleich Allows Cyberstalking and Bullying in his FB group Citizens for a Better Santa Cruz - by Pat Colby
Steve Pleich allows cyberstalking and bullying on FB Citizen for a Better Santa Cruz. He lets members of his group slander and character assassinated fellow local activists-advocates. He has allowed my brother John and I to be stalked even though we left his group and asked him to stop allowing anyone to post anything about or use our names in any posts. We are not the only fellow activists-advocates he has allowed this to happen to: i.e. he allowed TBSC's Jim Spring to cyberbully a much re...

Legal Gay Marriage Coming to 30 States and the District of Columbia - by Sahil Kapur, Talking Points Memo
By refusing to hear related cases, the US Supreme Court brings legal gay marriage to 30 states and the District of Columbia. The move is good news for same-sex couples in Utah, North Carolina, South Carolina, West Virginia, Colorado, Kansas, and Wyoming. The Supreme Court's decision to stay out of the issue is bad news for gay couples in states like Texas, Mississippi and Tennessee, which may now have to wait longer before they can marry.

Deep Disappointment in Derrick Jensen's Transphobic DGR - by Former Jensen Supporter (moth)
It really disturbs me that my once favorite "eco-warrior" author Derrick Jensen has turned on the trans community and is now promoting hatred against them instead of forging new allies to protect the wilderness. All that political energy directed against the trans community by Jensen et. al. is wasted, he could have used that voice to save forests from clearcutting, protect desert aquifers and many other needed battles. Now instead Jensen's "Deep Green Resistance" (DGR) is walking hand in han...

Religious Right Trying to Make Schools Safe for Bullies and Dangerous for LGBTI Students - by PFAW Repost
The religious right is trying to protect bullies that instigate with LGBTI students, claiming that the rights of the bullies to express themselves freely is being infringed. Instead of trying to make peace with students of different sexual orientations the religious right wishes to further increase suicide and violence in schools by becoming enablers of hostile bullies. The protectors of bullies will have more blood on their hands as school suicide and violence isn't getting better, now this ...

Living Apart Together: Another Option - by Joan Annsfire
LGBT marriage didn't change my life at all. My spouse and I still live separately after 15 years. It complicates some things but it works for us. Traditional marriage is not the answer for everyone.
